ART & DESIGN EVENT

Meet Designer Phạm Huyền Kiêu

Theme: “Northwest Colors” – Inspiration from Basic Graphics: Geometric Forms & Color

On the afternoon of June 28, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM, B&C Maison d’Art cordially invites art and design enthusiasts to visit our space and engage in a direct exchange with designer Phạm Huyền Kiêu – creator of the decorative lacquer collection “Northwest Colors.”

This is a gentle and intimate gathering where guests will have the opportunity to listen to the story behind the designs, explore form and color, and experience a distilled Vietnamese spirit expressed through more than ten years of persistent artistic experimentation.

“Northwest Colors” – When Basic Graphics Tell Cultural Stories

With the theme “Northwest Colors” – Inspiration from Basic Graphics: Geometric Forms & Color, the event opens a dialogue between contemporary design and traditional identity. Here, seemingly fundamental elements such as circles, triangles, and diagonal lines are reborn in the language of lacquer, transforming into visual tones rich with emotion.

The lacquer collection “Northwest Colors” is not merely a series of interior decorative works, but the result of over a decade of research and personal contemplation. Through basic geometry and modernized ethnic color palettes, Phạm Huyền Kiêu seeks to shape a contemporary Vietnamese lifestyle aesthetic — minimalist yet profound, quiet yet enduring.

Phạm Huyền Kiêu – A Builder of Visual Thinking

With more than 30 years of experience in design, branding, and visual arts, Phạm Huyền Kiêu is recognized as one of the pioneering designers who laid the foundation for professional design thinking in Vietnam during the early years of the country’s economic opening.

He is the Founder of Arts Journey, Editor-in-Chief of Locals Visual Arts, Founding Member of Design Alliance Asia, and currently serves as Strategy Consulting Director at Experts in Action. Beyond being a designer, he is also a connector within the creative community, consistently promoting Vietnamese identity through design and visual arts.

At B&C Maison d’Art, he presents a special showcase featuring:

  • Refined and distilled geometric forms
  • Ethnic color palettes reinterpreted in a contemporary spirit
  • Honest, contemplative, and evocative emotions — arising not only from the artworks themselves, but also from the stories behind each creative choice

Designer’s reflection:

“I believe visual art is not only to be seen, but to be lived with — to reflect upon oneself.”

A Pause for Those Who Love Quiet Beauty

This gathering is an invitation to slow down, to listen, and to contemplate. It is where geometric forms meet ethnic colors, where contemporary design converses with traditional craftsmanship, and where the spirit of the Northwest is expressed through an abstract, minimalist, yet deeply Vietnamese visual language.

If you are seeking a quiet moment, a refined and enduring sense of Vietnamese identity, then “Northwest Colors” at B&C Maison d’Art is a meaningful destination — to look, to listen, and to feel.
